Oliver Baumann
Oliver Baumann is a PhD student at the Chair of Data Modeling and Interdisciplinary Knowledge Generation and works as a research assistant within the Excellence Cluster "Africa Multiple". He studied computer science at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and submitted his master thesis on "Dynamics in Interest Development in Online Communities" to the Chair of Computational Social Science and Big Data at the School of Public Policy at the Technical University of Munich, supervised by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Pfeffer.
After working in industrial software development, he now focuses on topics related to contextualized ontologies, natural language processing, data mining, and linking and visualizing latent structures in research datasets.
Of particular interest to him is the interdisciplinary application of his research.
